• ITVERP is a unique federal program that provides financial reimbursement for qualifying expenses to qualified U.S. citizens and U.S. government employees who suffered direct physical or emotional injury from an act of international terrorism while outside the United States.
  • Through ITVERP, OVC provides reimbursement to victims of international terrorism and their families for expenses related to medical and mental health care, funeral and burial, repatriation of the victim’s remains, property loss, and miscellaneous expenses.

  • In the case of a victim who is less than 18 years of age, incompetent, incapacitated, or deceased, a family member or legal guardian of the victim may receive the compensation under this section on behalf of the victim, under 34 U.S.C § 20106(a)(3)(a).

    How to Apply

    To apply to ITVERP, the eligible applicant must submit a completed application. The application can be time-consuming and requires supporting documentation. Now, you can begin the process online, add supporting documentation as you find it, and complete your application when you are ready.
